Synopsis

Cursed by the Key of Forgetting at the end of Wrath of the Dragon King, Seth has lost all memory of his past: his relationships, his experiences, and who he really is. All he knows is that his new mentor, the dark unicorn Ronodin, is leading him on a dangerous journey to the Phantom Isle, a secret gateway to the Under Realm and the court of the Underking, and that the books Ronodin sets him to read are about phantoms. Kendra is frantic to find her missing brother, but the quest takes her and her companions far from Wyrmroost to Crescent Lagoon, a fallen dragon sanctuary in the tropics. If she can help its caretaker reclaim control, she may uncover the answers she needs to rescue Seth. Meanwhile, with each sanctuary the dragons overthrow, the Dragon King comes closer to the dawn of a new Age of Dragons.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
