Synopsis

After the bloody battle that reduced the Island of Dreams to ashes, Kelda, daughter of the Moon King and the Sun Queen, takes on the mantle of Priestess of the Cliffs to save her people from the iron and fire of their enemies. Before she can, she must fight Deimos, king of the People of Fire, and Sigarr, the terrible sorcerer who kidnapped her twin brother Halvard as a child and has raised him toward the prophecy of the Dragon's Son, which would make every people of the Earth his vassals or his victims. On the long journey that takes her to the Land of the Sand Mountains, Kelda can count only on the Watcher Íris, the one member of the Council with the courage to contradict it. Can she keep her essence pure, free her brother from Sigarr's influence and save the Vikings and their Allies, or will she be forced to raise arms against those she swore to protect? The penultimate volume of the saga.

Notes

  • From the series record (A Saga das Pedras Mágicas): Sandra Carvalho's eight-volume Portuguese epic fantasy (Editorial Presença, Via Láctea, 2005-2013): three generations of a Northern family, from the sorceress Catelyn and the Wolf Warrior Throst to their daughters and granddaughter, bound to the seven magic stones in which the sorceress Aranwen imprisoned her power and to the Stone of Time that guards her pact of love and blood.
