Synopsis

The sixth volume passes the saga to a third generation. Kelda, granddaughter of the sorceress Catelyn who began the story, fights to fulfil the designs of the Stone of Time and to save her own soul, to rescue Halvard, and to carry out the mission she inherited from her grandmother. With the three sisters' war of the previous books behind it, the series turns to the heirs of the pact of love and blood that Aranwen sealed in the seven magic stones, and to the Stone of Time itself, whose designs have shaped every generation since. Kelda's road leads her toward the cliffs that give the book its title and the priesthood she will assume there, in a volume that its publisher counts among the most cherished Portuguese fantasy series of its decade.

Notes

  • From the series record (A Saga das Pedras Mágicas): Sandra Carvalho's eight-volume Portuguese epic fantasy (Editorial Presença, Via Láctea, 2005-2013): three generations of a Northern family, from the sorceress Catelyn and the Wolf Warrior Throst to their daughters and granddaughter, bound to the seven magic stones in which the sorceress Aranwen imprisoned her power and to the Stone of Time that guards her pact of love and blood.
