Synopsis
In the ninth book of The Hollows series, Rachel Morgan has three days to reach the annual witches' conference in San Francisco and clear her name of black-magic accusations, or risk being trapped permanently in the demonic ever after. Forced into an unusual road trip with allies she does not entirely trust, Rachel also discovers that a powerful demon, freed after centuries of torment, now walks openly in sunlight and is capable of consuming innocent souls. As the demon sets its sights on Rachel herself, she must survive both the journey to the conference and a confrontation with a threat that may force her to lean further into her own demonic nature than she ever has before.
