Synopsis
In Prince Lestat, the vampire world has fallen into turmoil, with a mysterious force apparently destroying vampires seemingly at random and unrest spreading among their kind as a result. Lestat de Lioncourt, who has spent years in a kind of self-imposed exile since the events of earlier books, is drawn back into vampire affairs and works to determine the source of the crisis and restore order before it can tear their society apart. Reuniting with old and new vampires alike, including Louis, Armand, Marius, and his own mother Gabrielle, Lestat confronts a challenge unlike anything the vampire world has faced in generations, forcing longtime rivals and allies to reckon with what unity among vampires might actually require.
