Synopsis
Rage of a Demon King is the third book of the Serpentwar Saga, picking up as the armies from Novindus finally reach the shores of the Kingdom of the Isles. With the invasion no longer a distant threat but a present catastrophe, Erik von Darkmoor takes on greater responsibility defending the realm's forces against the invaders, while Roo Avery's mercantile empire becomes entangled in the war effort in ways that test his loyalties and his nerve. The arrival of a powerful new figure connected to the invading forces raises the stakes further, hinting at supernatural forces behind the human armies. As the fighting spreads across the Kingdom's heartland, the characters introduced in the saga's earlier volumes are drawn together to face an enemy whose true nature and goals are only beginning to come into focus.
