Synopsis
Red Iron Nights, the sixth Garrett P.I. novel, follows Garrett, TunFaire's ex-marine freelance investigator, as he works another case across the capital of Karenta and the war-torn territories beyond its borders, with the series here leaning more heavily on straightforward detective work than on magical spectacle. Garrett continues to rely on the Dead Man, the telepathic and telekinetic Loghyr corpse who serves as his business partner, for guidance in cases that draw on his powers of deduction from the confines of Garrett's house, while Garrett's half-elf friend Morley Dotes and other regular contacts in TunFaire's underworld and law enforcement round out his support network.
