Synopsis
The second book in the Letters of Enchantment duology follows two parallel storylines. Iris, having returned home wounded from the front lines, sets out with her friend Attie on another dangerous mission to report on enemy military movements threatening the unprepared city of Oath, determined to warn its people before it is too late. Meanwhile Roman, recovering with lost memories in the realm of the antagonist god Dacre, is drawn into a secret correspondence that forces him to choose between loyalty and betrayal as the war between the gods Dacre and Enva intensifies. Separated by distance and circumstance, both Iris and Roman must rely on the magical letters that once connected them as they try to find their way back to one another amid the escalating conflict.
