Synopsis

Seeds of Rebellion, the second book in Brandon Mull's Beyonders trilogy, opens with Jason Walker back in his ordinary life on Earth after the events of A World Without Heroes, unable to stop thinking about Lyrian and the mission left unfinished there. Believing he has crucial new information that could help defeat the wizard-emperor Maldor, Jason finds his way back across the portal, even though the people of Lyrian who knew him now believe he is dead. Reuniting with allies including Rachel, the smuggler Ferrin, and the blind former king Galloran, Jason works toward rallying scattered resistance against Maldor's empire, particularly seeking the support of the Amar Kabal people in the Seven Vales, as he and Rachel begin to understand the larger roles they are meant to play in the coming rebellion.
