Synopsis
Dorina, a dhampir working for the Vampire Senate's anti-smuggling squad, joins a team of troll allies to track down a kidnapped relative of their leader. He was among a group of Dark Fey being smuggled out of Faerie into New York, where they are sold into slavery. The search leads to an illicit, chaotic fight night in a fire-damaged lot, and Dorina and her vampire partner, Louis-Cesare, find themselves in the middle of it. Meanwhile Dorina struggles with her wavering mental boundary with her darker alter ego, which has started to leak into her thoughts.
