Synopsis
Dorina Basarab is a dhampir, half human and half vampire, prone to uncontrollable rages and usually destined to die young. She has kept her sanity by hunting demons and vampires who deserve to die. When she wakes in a strange scientific lab with a man looming over her, she is ready to fight. He turns out to be the master vampire Louis-Cesare, who rescues her, though she has no memory of her capture. Before it, she had been working with a Vampire Senate task force investigating the smuggling of magical items and weapons out of Faerie. To learn who is responsible, she must face fallen angels, a mad scientist and a new breed of vampires.
