Synopsis
The seventh book in the Iron Druid Chronicles opens with Granuaile having finally achieved full Druid status, while Atticus has revived Owen Kennedy, an archdruid frozen in time centuries earlier who now must adjust to the modern world. Granuaile travels to India to help exorcise a sorcerer's spirit that has possessed her father, working alongside the witch Laksha, while Atticus and Owen face an ancient plague-summoning demon and a brewing Fae rebellion in Tir na nOg. Owen's culture shock at modern technology and language provides ongoing friction as the group juggles these separate crises, all while an eventual reckoning with the Norse god Loki continues to loom over the wider story.
