Synopsis
Stalwart, a small but quick and skilled senior student at the Ironhall academy, is expelled in public just before he would have become one of the King's Blades. His expulsion hides a larger scheme. He teams up with Emerald, a young woman recently removed from the White Sisters, to stop an assassination plot against the king and a sorcery-driven plan to destroy the kingdom. Along the way he has to face sorcery, swordplay and ambushes, and prove that he deserves a place among the Blades.
