Synopsis
Black magic has infiltrated the king's palace. After the king's friend Digby dies mysteriously during a royal ceremony, Sir Stalwart and Emerald, a White Sister, travel to Smealey Hall to find the source of the evil. Stalwart recruits Badger, a surly Blade-in-training, and the three face harsh terrain, sorcery and swordplay on the road. They also have to deal with a traitor among their own company, who may be working against the king.
