Synopsis
Princess Meredith "Merry" Gentry, heir to the Unseelie throne, has become pregnant with twins, putting her ahead of her rival cousin Cel in the race to inherit power, provided she can carry the pregnancy safely to term. Her guards intensify their protection of her as various fae factions move against her claim, and Merry continues working through the emotional aftermath of an earlier assault by her uncle, the Seelie King Taranis. Complications mount when Taranis publicly claims paternity of her unborn children, threatening both the legitimacy of her pregnancy and her fragile recovery. Facing threats from multiple directions, Merry must rely on her guard of Ravens to protect her unborn children and herself while the political stakes of the succession contest intensify around her.
