Synopsis
Test of the Twins closes the Dragonlance Legends trilogy, picking up where the previous volume ended as the mage Raistlin Majere pursues godhood. Caramon Majere and the kender Tasslehoff Burrfoot arrive in a devastated future timeline two years ahead of schedule, finding a bleak world dominated by an hourglass constellation, Raistlin's symbol, and discovering what appears to be Caramon's own corpse. They learn that Raistlin remains trapped in the Abyss alongside the cleric Crysania, who faces magical trials meant to test her devotion. Meanwhile, in the city of Palanthas, Tanis Half-Elven and the other companions prepare to defend against an invading force, and word arrives that the twins' half-sister Kitiara is approaching with a flying citadel and the death knight Lord Soth. The threads converge on the shared goal of preventing Raistlin from escaping the Abyss and achieving godhood.
