Synopsis
Generations ago, religious colonists built a spaceship named Jehovah. Its origin has been forgotten, and the people of Samaria now believe it is a god. Only the genetically modified angels can use the vocal tones that call on the ship's supplies and services. Angel factions now struggle for power against the Jacobites, a rebel group that wants to learn the truth about Jovah and rejects his divinity. Two young women, Tamar, a Jacobite on the run, and Lucinda, an angel raised in isolation, are caught up in the search for the files Alleluia is rumoured to have left about what Jovah really is. What the files might reveal could change Samaria.
