Synopsis
Dinadan is the younger brother of the famous knight Tristram. Gentle by nature, he loves music and dreams of becoming a minstrel, something his noble family's customs frown on, so he leaves home to seek his fortune. Along the way he has a series of adventures that show him he is braver than he believed. He falls in with knights from King Arthur's court and then with a Moorish knight, and he learns more about his celebrated brother's secret love for Isolde while dabbling in romance himself. The book combines the story of Tristan and Iseult with other Arthurian material and is told with the humour of the rest of the series.
