Synopsis
The Dominion of Annagar has kept an uneasy peace ever since clan Leonne was given the magic of the Sun Sword and made ruler over the five noble clans. Now a highly skilled general and a master of magical arts plan to take the crown for themselves by killing every member of clan Leonne. The story is set at Tor Leonne, where succession struggles and an alliance with a treacherous ally threaten the whole realm. Further south in the Essalieyan Empire, the merchant House Terafin and its adopted members, among them the street-bred Jewel, are drawn into events that will reach well beyond the Dominion's borders.
