It began with the Sacred Hunt duology (1995-1996), set in the kingdom of Breodanir, and continued with The Sun Sword, six novels from 1997 to 2004, about the Dominion of Annagar and the merchant Houses of the Essalieyan Empire. The House War, eight novels from 2008 to 2019, follows the orphan Jewel as she rises in House Terafin; its story begins at the end of The Sun Sword.
