Synopsis
The Deathless opens in a world where crystal castles float on magical currents and seven immortal royal dynasties, the Deathless, have ruled for centuries by holding back the monstrous, encroaching wilderness known as the Wild. House Sapphire, one of these seven families, has long depended on its dominance over the world below, but that certainty begins to crack as expeditions fail to return and villages under its protection vanish without explanation. Suspicion and grief spread through the household, and when an assassin strikes at the heart of the family, long-buried tensions among its members come into the open. As House Sapphire fractures under the strain, its members are forced to reckon with the possibility that the power they have always taken for granted, and perhaps their own immortality, is no longer guaranteed, opening the first volume of the Deathless Trilogy.
