Overview
The Deathless trilogy follows Vasin, the immortal ruler of an island city, and Chandni, a young noblewoman married into his household as a political pawn, in a secondary world where certain bloodlines cheat death outright while everyone else lives and dies in their shadow. Peter Newman published the three novels through Harper Voyager: The Deathless (2018), The Ruthless (2019), and The Boundless (2020). As Chandni is drawn into a conspiracy against Vasin's rule, the trilogy widens into a story about the price the deathless extract from the mortals around them, and what it costs to finally challenge that order; the trilogy followed Newman's earlier Vagrant sequence and marked his move into a more overtly political, court-centered fantasy setting.
