Synopsis
The fourth Riyria Chronicles novel opens when the daughter of a man named Winter mysteriously vanishes and is presumed dead under circumstances that do not add up. Royce Melborn and Hadrian Blackwater are paid handsomely to uncover the truth behind her disappearance and to hold whoever is responsible to account, taking on an investigation that proves more tangled than the family's initial account suggests. As the pair dig into the case, they encounter conflicting stories and hidden motives among those connected to the missing woman, forcing them to piece together what actually happened to her before they can deliver the answers their client is paying for.
