Synopsis
For Alv, now Elof the Smith, the war was not yet won; and what part in it would Kara and Louhi play? Against the dramatic background of the encroaching glaciers of an Ice Age, the second volume of Michael Scott Rohan's Winter of the World takes Elof and his companion Kermorvan east, to the kingdom of Morvannec, which they find newly conquered by the barbarous Ekwash, led by the Ice Power Louhi, her acolyte Kara, whom Elof once pledged to love, and Bryhon from the west, while on the way they pass through a forest where the heroes of legend still live and the godlike Lord of the Forest rules supreme. First published by Macdonald in 1987.
