Synopsis

The second book in John Gwynne's Bloodsworn Saga, set in the same Norse-inspired world, opens with the revelation that the dragon god Lik-Rifa has escaped her eternal prison and threatens to bring about a new age of bloodshed across Vigrid. Orka continues her hunt for her kidnapped son, following leads that take her far from home, while the Bloodsworn mercenary band races south to rescue one of their own from captivity. Varg pursues his own path of vengeance within the Bloodsworn's ranks, and Elvar tries to convince her companions to join an oath-bound mission whose success may depend on forbidden magic tied to the book of a chained god, as all four threads move toward Lik-Rifa's growing threat.

Notes

  • From the series record (The Bloodsworn Saga): Complete Norse-mythology-inspired trilogy, distinct world and cast from The Faithful and the Fallen.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
