Synopsis
Four years have passed since an invasion from the neighbouring land of Lon-Ser, and the mages of Tobyn-Ser are divided and unable to act. A young mage named Orris, frustrated by the delay, takes the outlander Baram out of prison and travels with him to Bragor-Nal, a violent city in Lon-Ser governed by a system close to feudalism. Captivity has driven Baram mad, and he abandons Orris in the city. Orris, who has only his magic to rely on, must work with Gwilym, a man with strange powers, and Melyor, a Nal-Lord with a dangerous secret, to stop a threat that is aimed at his homeland.
