Overview

The LonTobyn Chronicle is a fantasy trilogy by American author David B. Coe, published by Tor from 1997 to 2000. It is set in Tobyn-Ser, a land guarded by the Order of Amarid, a group of mages who each bond with a bird of prey, and in its neighbour Lon-Ser, a land of walled cities called Nals. In Children of Amarid the young mage Jaryd uncovers a traitor in the Order. The Outlanders follows the mage Orris into Lon-Ser, where he meets the Nal-Lord Melyor, and Eagle-Sage brings Jaryd and Melyor together as war threatens both lands. The three novels form one story and are complete.
