Synopsis

Charlotte Mielswetzski, severely grounded after her family and school struggled to make sense of her mysterious disappearance into the Underworld, finds her punishment interrupted when her family unexpectedly wins an educational cruise, a prize that at first seems like a welcome escape from being confined at home. The cruise turns out to be nothing of the sort: it has been orchestrated by Poseidon himself, seeking vengeance against the young heroes who thwarted his grandson Philonecron's earlier scheme, with Philonecron eager for a chance at payback of his own. Stranded at sea and squarely within the domain of one of the most powerful and temperamental gods of Greek myth, Charlotte and her cousin Zee must find a way to survive Poseidon's wrath and outmaneuver Philonecron a second time, with no easy way off the ship.
