Synopsis
Tom Ward is called home when his family is taken from their farm and carried off to Pendle, the stronghold of the County's witch clans. The three most powerful clans have set aside their quarrels and are preparing something that threatens everyone in the County. John Gregory has his own plans and Tom has his own loyalties, which do not always agree. Alice's family ties to the clans put her in a difficult position as well. Tom travels into witch country to rescue his family and learn what the clans intend, knowing that the witches plan to summon the Devil himself, and that time is short.
