Synopsis
The Winter Knights opens the fourth saga of the Edge Chronicles, centered on Quint, the son of a sky pirate, as he trains at the Knights Academy in the floating city of Sanctaphrax. An unrelenting winter has settled over the Edgeworld, its blizzards disrupting daily life and unsettling the city's institutions. Eager to master flight and push past what his instructors allow, Quint breaks academy protocol and ventures alone into the Open Sky, the perilous region beyond the world's usual boundaries. There he encounters massive, little-understood sky creatures known as cloud-eaters, whose presence hints at a danger far greater than the winter itself, and Quint must draw on skills he has only begun to develop to keep the threat from overwhelming Sanctaphrax.
