Synopsis
Triumph of the Darksword, published by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman in 1988, concludes the Darksword Trilogy. With the consequences of the Darksword's power reaching a critical point, the magocracy of Thimhallan faces a crisis unlike any it has previously known, as the very source of magic that has defined and sustained the society for generations begins to slip away. Joram, the Dead-born heir whose existence was long foretold to bring ruin, must reckon with what his weapon and his choices have set in motion for a world built entirely around a resource it can no longer take for granted. As magic itself recedes from Thimhallan, its people are forced to confront a stagnation and vulnerability they have never had to face, bringing the trilogy's themes of prophecy, power, and dependence to their final resolution.
