Synopsis
Warrior of the Wind, published by Suyi Davies Okungbowa in 2022, continues the Nameless Republic trilogy after Son of the Storm. Lilong, from the legendary Nameless Islands, is determined to recover ibor, a magical heirloom stone her father once removed from her homeland, while Danso, drawn deeper into her quest, discovers he too can wield ibor's power and harbors his own ambition to find Risisi, the fabled city where it originates. Behind them in Bassa, Danso's former betrothed Esheme has seized power as the city's ruthless new ruler and is determined to hunt down anyone who might lead her to the same source of magic. As Lilong and Danso journey toward the Nameless Islands facing hazards along the way, Esheme's expanding rule begins to stir unrest among the people of Bassa.
