Synopsis
In the seventh book of The Hollows series, Rachel Morgan investigates the murder of her former lover Kisten, revisiting the crime scene aboard an impounded riverboat and working with a psychiatrist to recover suppressed memories of that night. As she pursues the truth behind his death, she uncovers signs that a new and dangerous predator has risen within Cincinnati's supernatural underworld, one whose reach extends further than the original case seemed to suggest. Balancing grief over Kisten's death with the demands of an active investigation, Rachel is drawn deeper into a conspiracy that threatens to upend the fragile order she has helped maintain among the city's vampires, witches, and weres.
