Synopsis
Cinnamon Jones dreams of acting on stage like her famous grandparents, Redwood and Wildfire, but she feels too tall and heavy for the theater. Her family is full of secrets. After her brother dies, he leaves her The Chronicles of the Great Wanderer, a story about a Dahomean warrior woman and an alien who perform in Paris and at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. When an act of violence wounds her family, Cinnamon and the members of her theater squad set out to uncover the truth behind the Chronicles and the secrets her family has kept. The book is subtitled a novel of what might have been.
