Synopsis
Wolfhound: Stone of Rage tells the earlier story of how the boy nicknamed Shchenok, or "Puppy," became the warrior later known as Wolfhound. Enslaved and sent to labor in the underground mines, he endures brutal conditions, the betrayal of a former friend, and the loss of those close to him. The novel follows his struggle to survive the mines while holding onto his sense of self, tracing the transformation that turns a frightened, hopeful child into the hardened fighter introduced in the earlier-published books of the series, giving readers the backstory that shaped his wary, self-reliant nature in the tales already told of his adult life.
