Synopsis
Wolfhound: The Right for a Fight follows the hero some time after the events of the first novel, as he travels through new lands accompanied by a scholarly companion named Evrikh. The two head south with an important message to deliver, but their journey is repeatedly interrupted by chance encounters and moral dilemmas among the varied peoples, cities and villages they pass through. Much of the novel turns on Wolfhound's internal conflict between the harsh, combative instincts of his upbringing and the gentler teachings of his former mentor, Kan-Kendarat, as he is repeatedly forced to choose between meeting wrongdoing with violence or attempting to resolve it through mercy and restraint.
