Overview
Feuillets de cuivre is a novel by the French author Fabien Clavel, first published by ActuSF in its Les 3 souhaits collection in November 2015. It is set in Paris in 1872, where the mutilated body of a prostitute is found in an alley, the first of a series of murders with esoteric overtones. The investigator, Inspector Ragon, relies on his literary knowledge. The book blends 19th-century serial novels with modern television series codes in a steampunk Paris. French Wikipedia classes it as a steampunk novel, and it won the Prix Elbakin.net for best French-language fantasy novel in 2016. A second title, Feuillets de brume, appears in catalogue listings.
