Overview
Cristina Bomfim's Os Dragões Originais is a Brazilian romantasy, written and illustrated by the author, in a world where, in the beginning, the Eternal Flame lit the skies and from its spark the nine Original Dragons were born, each giving rise to a clan with its own people, gifts and culture. In Ekrateia, the clan of self-control, Maila, daughter of a long line of temple guardians, is destined to protect the Book of Eternity and must be impeccable as a daughter, a guardian and a future wife; when her childhood friend Ardan, now a renegade rebel, raids the temple and steals fragments of the book, she is thrown into a journey across the nine clans, where dormant secrets threaten the order she swore to protect. A slow-burn romance with a Christian underpinning, the first of a planned duology.
