Overview
Tarean is a German fantasy trilogy by Bernd Perplies, published by Lyx in 2008 and 2009. It is set in the world of Endar. Sixteen years after the sorcerer Calvas and his werewolf hordes defeated the Western Realms, the young Tarean, son of the knight Anreon of Agialon, who is known as the Bringer of Curses, sets out to restore his family's honour. He carries the magic sword Esdurial and travels with a will-o'-the-wisp, an albino companion and a werebear. The second book sends him to rescue the crystal dragons, and the third to find the scattered members of their order and the First Light. The three novels form one continuous story, and Perplies finished it in 2009. Illustrated anniversary editions followed from 2018.
