Overview
The Rages Trilogy is a secondary-world epic fantasy set on a floating civilization that survives constant, violent magical storms called Rages by anchoring itself to the earth below with living trees. Its magic system is built on architects who manipulate matter through meditation and a bond with a yaksha spirit, and its central relationship, an arranged marriage between two architects who despise the magic they practise for very different reasons, drives both books. The series draws visibly on South Asian mythology and culture without retelling any single myth directly.
