Overview
The White Raven is a standalone fantasy novel by Diana L. Paxson, published by William Morrow in 1988. It retells the legend of Tristan and Iseult under the Celtic names Drustan and Esseilte, set in sixth-century Britain and Ireland while the Druid religion is still strong. The story is told through Branwen, Esseilte's maid and cousin, who is caught up in a love potion, a deception on a wedding night and the politics of Kernow. It is not part of Paxson's Westria or Avalon books, and the author has written no sequel.
