Overview
Wellenläufer-Trilogie is a complete three-book young-adult fantasy trilogy by German author Kai Meyer, already admitted to this canon for his other two universes. Set along an alternate 17th-century Caribbean coastline, it follows Jolly and Munk, two "wave-walkers" able to run across open water, as a monstrous maelstrom hunts down every wave-walker it can find and threatens the floating city of Aelenium. Across all three books the pair's flight from the maelstrom's forces, through magical bridges, drowned jungles, and the ocean depths, tests a rivalry and friendship as much as it tests their untested shell-magic.
