Synopsis
The book is presented as a chronicle written by Old Hrof, the thousand-year-old Odin. In it he recounts the arrival of the Young Gods in the world, the Battle of Borgild, his resistance to the new rulers of the Ordered World and the part he played in those events. After the battle, spared by the victorious Young Gods, he leaves Hjorvard for a time and returns after many years without plans for a new war, and he records the title of True Mage in his book. The annotation hints that not everything happened exactly as the chronicle says.
