Overview
Russian author Nick Perumov (born 1963 in Leningrad) has written novels since 1994 in a shared multiverse called the Ordered (Упорядоченное), a set of worlds joined by streams of magic that are kept in balance. Its worlds include Hjorvard, built on Scandinavian myth, and Evial, a closed world menaced by a Western Darkness. The Hjorvard Chronicles (1994-1995) follow the mage Hedin and the Young Gods; the Chronicles of the Rift (from 1998) follow the mage Fess and the Keeper of the Swords cycle; the Death of the Gods 2 epic (2012-2022) reunites Hedin, Rakot and Klara Hümmel. Later cycles, Tales of the Ordered, add new worlds. Perumov's own work in the cycle continued to 2025.
