Synopsis
Blood Pact continues the Blood Books series, following Vicki Nelson into a case that strikes closer to home than her previous investigations with Henry Fitzroy, drawing personal stakes into the supernatural detective work that has defined the series so far as her own family becomes entangled in the mystery she is hired to unravel. As Vicki confronts a case that touches her own past more directly than the earlier novels' investigations, her ongoing partnership with Henry, the immortal vampire whose command of the supernatural has repeatedly proven essential to their shared cases, is tested by the emotional weight of a job Vicki cannot approach with her usual professional distance, forcing her to rely on him in ways their earlier cases together never required.
