Synopsis

Burn Bright is the fifth novel in the Alpha and Omega series. With Bran, the Marrok who rules all North American werewolves, away in Africa, Charles and Anna are left responsible for managing pack business in Montana, including the isolated wildlings, werewolves too damaged by trauma or age to live safely among other people. When an urgent call for help comes from the wildlings' remote territory, the couple heads out to investigate, uncertain what kind of threat could endanger creatures who are already among the most dangerous wolves in the pack. The situation draws in old magic and older secrets tied to the witchborn, forcing Charles and Anna to confront threats that Bran's absence leaves them unusually exposed to handle alone.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.

  • Publication order, within the series Alpha and Omega: position 5 of 6: previous Dead Heat (2015) · next Wild Sign (2021)
  • Internal chronology, within Mercy Thompson / Alpha and Omega: position 10 of 20: previous Silver Borne (2010) · next River Marked (2011)
