Synopsis

Daemonslayer (1999) is the third novel in William King's Gotrek and Felix series. Gotrek and Felix travel north from the Empire in search of Karag Dum, a dwarf hold long believed lost, journeying aboard an experimental airship deep into the hostile Chaos Wastes. Their goal is to recover treasures and knowledge from the abandoned hold before its secrets are lost for good, but the expedition brings them face to face with the corrupting dangers of the Wastes and the forces of Chaos that dwell there. As their airship carries them further from safety, Gotrek, ever seeking a death worthy of a Slayer, and Felix, recording his companion's exploits as always, find themselves facing what may prove one of the most dangerous battles of Gotrek's long search for a glorious end.

Notes

  • From the series record (Gotrek and Felix): A seven-novel tie-in sword-and-sorcery sequence (1999-2003) for a tabletop miniatures-game setting, following a dwarf monster-slayer and his human chronicler. The founding author's run is treated as its own complete, self-contained sequence; the same characters were later continued by several other, different authors in books not catalogued here.
