Synopsis
Following the death of the widely respected ruler Lodrik, his power-hungry son Govan pursues increasingly ambitious and dangerous goals, threatening to plunge Ulldart back into the darkness his father had worked so hard to hold at bay. Rumors nonetheless begin to circulate that Lodrik may still be alive in some form, complicating the succession and unsettling those who had accepted his death. Meanwhile, a young man named Lorin allies himself with a group of mysterious companions to take up arms against the hordes of evil spreading across the continent, even as Govan works to make the return of the Dark Time permanent. The narrative follows these converging threads as questions about Lodrik's true fate and the origins of the encroaching evil drive the conflict toward a new crisis.
