Synopsis

Fair Game is the third novel in the Alpha and Omega series. Charles and Anna, now settled as a mated pair within Bran's Montana pack, are called on by the FBI when a serial killer begins targeting supernatural beings, including werewolves and fae, across the country. The couple relocates to Boston to join the federal investigation as consultants who can offer expertise no ordinary agent has. As the body count rises, it becomes clear the killer is following a deliberate pattern, and that his knowledge of supernatural creatures runs deeper than the FBI first assumed. When the pattern begins to point toward people close to Charles and Anna themselves, the case stops being purely professional, and the pair must use both their bond and their pack connections to get ahead of a hunter who seems to already know how they think.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.

  • Publication order, within the series Alpha and Omega: position 3 of 6: previous Hunting Ground (2009) · next Dead Heat (2015)
  • Internal chronology, within Mercy Thompson / Alpha and Omega: position 6 of 20: previous Iron Kissed (2008) · next Bone Crossed (2009)
