Synopsis
The fourth Secret Histories novel sends Eddie Drood on a mission that pits him against agents of Hell itself, as infernal forces make a move that threatens both the Drood family and the wider hidden world it protects. Eddie must draw on hard-won alliances from his time as a rogue agent, along with his family's resources, to counter a threat operating on a scale even the Droods have rarely faced directly. The story continues to explore the family's uneasy position as self-appointed guardians of humanity's secrets, testing how far Eddie is willing to go, and whom he is willing to trust, when the enemy is willing to exploit every weakness in the family's defenses and in Eddie's own loyalties.
